About the theme

The dark side of the city: prisons, hideouts, crime scenes and the black market. A fitting theme for a noir game, where every answer already sounds a little suspicious.

This theme has 14 locations. In each case all agents get the same one of them, plus a cover role if the host turns roles on, while the spy only sees the theme name, Crime. Below is every location with the six roles the game can deal.

Prison

Roles: Warden, Prisoner, Guard, Lawyer, Visitor, Cook.

Morgue

Roles: Coroner, Detective, Assistant, Grieving relative, Journalist, Janitor.

Interrogation

Roles: Good cop, Bad cop, Suspect, Lawyer, Witness, Chief.

Pawn shop

Roles: Pawnbroker, Thief, Customer, Appraiser, Detective, Guard.

Hideout

Roles: Boss, Hitman, Accountant, Informant, Driver, Hostage.

Crime scene

Roles: Detective, Forensic expert, Photographer, Witness, Reporter, Rookie cop.

Black market

Roles: Dealer, Buyer, Smuggler, Undercover cop, Lookout, Fence.

Heist

Roles: Mastermind, Hacker, Getaway driver, Safecracker, Hostage, Guard.

Agency

Roles: Private eye, Secretary, Client, Informant, Rival, Cop.

Speakeasy

Roles: Bootlegger, Bartender, Singer, Cop on the take, Gangster, Flapper.

Catacombs

Hacker den

Trial

Playing this theme

Pick Crime in the case settings once you have 3 to 10 players. The host can even choose the exact location, and then the host is never the spy. For a sharper interrogation, read our guide to questions.
